WOWIE! TIME FLIES~

Hello to all! It's definitely been a while since I've updated this blog. First off, I want to say thank you for being patient with me. And second, God loves you. ^^

As the summer sale has ended, we patiently wait for the new album that will be coming out soon. So please look forward to that! As you all know, Alexander recently had his fan-meet and I am sure that everything went well.

As for P. Johnny, he is actually in the middle of a press conference for One Voice right now, along with some of the staff members, so let's pray that it goes well.

=) I pray that everyone is doing well and if youguys have any prayer requests, feel free to comment down below. =)

With that, I am going to end with a few words from P. Johnny about leadership. I hope it will be use to some of you leaders out there. ^^ GOD BLESS~~

Leadership Tips

In recent weeks, I've noticed that our core leadership needs to be guided with a few helpful tips about leadership.
This note is in no way a comprehensive outline of all the things that we need to be good leaders.  But these are just a few helpful tips that will help our church, and by virtue of association with our church, hopefully some of you reading this will benefit as well.

Rates of Growth -
Accountability is an important part of our church.  We must speak into each others' lives.  This means we must speak into sin, question things that the group may not understand, and share our struggles, albeit difficult at times.  Patience is the key to helping people. Sometimes, in trying to move a group, we forget that not everyone understands, grows, and even moves at the same rate of speed.   So, as leaders, we must take this into consideration and learn to wait on each other.  If we learn this principle "the art of waiting", we will win people over at the right time.  Waiting is not easy;waiting for people to change is sometimes frustrating.  But waiting is what Jesus did with His disciples.

The Skill of Listening -

A team doesn't function well when unity is lacking.  The church is strengthened when there is a united spirit for the common value and goals of the group.  Even more, the world will be attracted to the church when there is unity because the church is called to be the theater of God's manifold work.  To foster trust, team members need to rethink and rework trust issues.

A common problem within team leadership is the lack of good listening skills.   We are not listening if we responding and justifying our actions when people are speaking to us.  Good listening is letting the other person speak and trying to understand their perspective for better or for worse.  You'll always have time to respond later. So it's important to sit on the conversation and to think how this person is trying to keep a team member accountable.  They may be right or they may be wrong.  But sit on it and trust the other person to say what needs to be said for our benefit.

Deferring to Equality -
I've noticed that people will always have different opinions.  Differences in opinions lead to differences in methods.  I've tried to apply in recent years a principle of deferring to another person's method if it's an equally good way of doing things.  A couple of things took place that I appreciate more now than ever:
  •  One of the key things is that I've made a sincere attempt to make my staff my equal; in a way, lowering myself.  Early on in our staff meetings, I allowed our staff to constructivelycriticize my messages.  I took a lowly position and this allowed me to accomplish several things.  One of which was to be able to speak into my staff when it was necessary.  I have a right to speak into my staff because they have been given the right to speak into my life.  "Deferring to equality" means we begin with how we view each other.  We are not better than anyone else.  This is why I love Romans 12:1.  We are to view ourselves in view of God's mercy.   Food for thought:  Why would we have to view ourselves in this way?  I'll leave you to meditate on this.
  • Now, we established that deferring to equality has a lot to do with the art of losing oneself.  In deferring to others, I've learned that if I can give away leadership, it'll garner more support from the group to be more active.  Leadership becomes stifling when we're always waiting on one person to make all the decisions.  To prevent unnecessary congestion when it comes to decision-making, we need to keep giving leadership away.  To allow the staff to make important decisions is to give them the power they need to be their own leader.   If we always fight for "my way", eventually it doesn't allow for decision-making to be put into the hands of the people.  This is a key element to good leadership, I believe; letting people make decisions so that they can build experience and success.  This is a much more important principle than we might realize. So if you don't have to do it our way, doing it another person's way should be worth thinking about.

The Newest Family Member

Many of you 3rd Wavers and U-kiss fans already know but if you don't, Alexander has officially joined the 3rd Wave family, permission granted by P. Johnny and Brian. I'm sure that everyone is VERY excited to have him part of the team. I know I am...... As he tweeted, "Oh yea~ Thank God I'm finally officially joining @!^-^)b Been wanting to join but was kinda busy before~" you can see that he is also excited.

For the past few weeks with the news of his removal from U-kiss, many Kiss-Me's were left disappointed and angry at NH Media, but let's be thankful that Alexander is still going to stay within the media field. Let's continue to join hands and support whatever is decided. Even though Alexander may not be able to greet us as U-kiss Alexander, he is still able to greet us as Alexander, himself so lets smile and root for him and his future plans all the way.

3rd Wave is currently looking into which song Alexander will be singing for so pray for the best. Let's all show support for 3rd Wave, Alexander, and especially U-Kiss via facebook or twitter. Greet the two new members with love and greet Alexander with love. 1, 2, 3....... 3rd Wave FIGHTING!!! Alexander FIGHTING!!!!! U-Kiss FIGHTING!!!!!!!

a simple whisper of blessing..

The 3rd Wave team would love to have you pray for them and for their future plans. Many things are happening and more things will be happening but we need to have God on our side. Let's continue to spread the word and continue to support 3rd Wave and P. Johnny.

You can do so by purchasing a 3rd Wave album or praying for 3rd Wave. Sounds simple enough right? Not only will you be helping 3rd Wave, you will also be helping the African children by bettering their education and giving them a brighter future. Nothing better than making a positive change in a persons life, am I right?

So let's join hands and let's continue to show 3rd Wave what we're all about!!!

a special love sent from above...

If you were given an opportunity to make a difference in a persons life, would you take that chance? Or would you leave it and live your life as you are now?

For one specific person, he not only changed the life for one person, but for many. I'm sure many know who I am referring to.

P. Johnny lived a normal life serving his family and church in South Korea, but when given the chance to do something greater for the Lord, he took that chance. He now also serves Africa as a person filled with nothing but love and to live Christ-like, he dedicated his life to live for God.

P. Johnny has done many good things but the greatest is what many people know about these days. 3rd Wave. Working along side with top Asian stars such as Brian Joo, Siwon Choi, and Vaness Wu, he was able to break through the market with Christian music and spread the special message that God wanted everyone to know of.

P. Johnny said:
"My inspiration came to me based on my calling.  I was focused on doing missions work and church planting        and music was just a hobby.  But it merged when I realized I could used it for the cause of Great Commission.  A series of perfect storms fell into place so that I could have the opportunities to do what I do.  I believe that these opportunities came because our motives were pure and it focused on executing the Great Commission."

Of course, none of this would have happened without God's help. Our heavenly Father made all possible.

But even so with the help from God, it's difficult to do EVERYTHING. So what can we do to help?

P. Johnny answers this:
"The greatest struggle is to have our messages promoted more!  The secular music companies are unsure where to place us and the Christian companies are not as strong as we would like them to be.  There is no genre CCM in Asia.  The Western world also does not know what is taking place in the Eastern world.  On top of that we are sharing religious music to many countries in South East Asia where Atheism, Buddhism and Islam is the majority.

We have an important message and we want to get our message out but it's a little bit slow at times.  It's a challenge but we are dealing with it head on and looking forward to overcome it."

YOU HEARD HIM! WE NEED TO HELP 3RD WAVE SPREAD THE WORD.  SO TELL YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, ENEMIES, NEIGHBORS....ANYONE ABOUT 3RD WAVE. HELP THE 3RD WAVE TEAM GET THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE OUT TO THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW OF GOD'S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

But before this blog ends, I want to say a couple things.

Thank you God for all the love you have shown through 3rd Wave and every day in general. Most of all, thank you P. Johnny for answering God's call. If you hadn't, the people in Africa would be be fortunate to experience God's love for them. Without 3rd Wave, there would be no inspiring songs, no admins, no sub-admins, no money and most importantly, no love that are reaching out to African children. We will go with you till the end, until the Lord comes back. God Bless.

What is your favorite track from the "I Will Be There" album?
